It is only through a third person point of view that we can see what is going on inside and outside of Gregor's room. Geregor’s discontent with his life is juxtaposed with the faily's life that continues while Gregor remains isolated. The reader can judge how reliable a protagonist that Gregor is. Although Gregor's death is final, we also see that Gregor's family has, rather quickly, moved on. These two views help the reader navigate through Kafka's existentialist world.
