The Maze Runner

Is WICKED good?

Throuhout the Maze Runner book, Ava Paige is the director of WICKED, and is also part of WICKED. WICKED is trying to find a cure for the disease caused by the Flare. In order to do that Dr. Ava Paige wipes the memory of teenage boys and sends them into the maze. She does this to experiment if the children are the key to everything. But she takes them away from their families against their will and does have a few "Gladers" killed. But if she left the boys and never did anything about it then there still would've been the Flare and some or almost all of them would've been dead.

So is WICKED good?

Their intentions are good which was to establish a cure for the flare pandemic. Although their the ones who unleashed the flare at the first place.

Also their means and ways for the cure seemed wrong, inhumane and evil.

From the start, the main problem was the lack of resources left after the solar flare struck on earth to support the survivors

Their idea of solution of bringing the population down by unleashing the virus to cope with the limited resources, not only defeats the purpose, it also

complicated and worsen the problem

The ultimate goal should have been focused on how to increase the resources to support the survivors than diminishing the survivors.

Which seem to bound the whole system as not well thought out, unintelligent, and may be more destructive than helpful to the main problem as some of the limited resources may even be required and used up, along with the genes and dna of the immunes to establish the cure

Ultimately, resouces may even have been more depleted, population may or may not diminish, which may seem to worsen the problem

Bringing back to the alternate solution and goal, which should have been focused on how to increase the resources to support the survivors than diminishing the survivors.

Cheers! Thank you for your thoughts and comment.
