The Lovely Bones

Mr. Harvey died in a ravine outside of a diner, after attempting to accost a young girl. He was hit in the head by an icicle, knocked down, and died where he lay. We are not given his age, as far as I can see.

A moment later, the icicle fell. The heavy coldness of it threw him off balance just enough for him to stumble and pitch forward. It would be weeks before the snow in the ravine melted enough to uncover him.
