When Susie's father goes to her room in grief, Buckley finds him there weeping and provides comfort. Then he remembers that Buckley used to climb in and sleep with Susie before she died...... this is when he can finally see Susie's face in another member of the family. The knowledge jolts him into understanding that his family needs his love as much as he needs to grieve.
