The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock

What tense could one say Prufrock is stuck in?

I'm reading it and it seems like future tense but also a mixture of present tense. Please help!

I always thought that Prufrock exists in a present that is eternal. He never moves forward: he is jus stuck in his present emotional paralysis.
