stoning in the lottery

what are some examples of how jackson fools us into believing that everything is fine in the lottery? the only thing I have so far is the setting, which she sets up as idyllic and tranquil, a calm summer day.

The eay the main characters get reafy to go to lottery drawing. Kids are playing and running around women are in there homes washing dishes acting as though they have to go to a town party rather than a stoning.
