Lucy is assertive in a caring and empathetic way. Lucy's observations throughout the story are striking because although she is the youngest of the children, she is also the most observant and caring. She notices the beauty and patience in Aslan's face in the moment before his death, and tells Susan that Edmund must know what Aslan has done for him.
