Ancient Mythology on The Lion , The Witch and the wardrobe

The mythology is largely Biblical. Aslan is a manifestation of Christ. Peter asks whether the White Witch is human, and Mr. Beaver explains that she is not, though she would like everyone to think that she is. She is, rather, half-Jinn (a descendant of Lilith, Adam's first wife, before Eve) and half-giantess.
