Baroka believes himself all powerful. He believes that as the Bale (village leader), he can do whatever he pleases. Baroka's actions are steeped in tradition, he has many wives and desires another..... for him, this isn't a big deal. It is his right. Baroka, however, is also a corrupt leader, he is guilty of bribery and manipulation.
