Though Sidi is intelligent, independent, and sassy.... she also puts herself in questionable circumstances, and in her determination to have her own way, leaves herself open for abuse and rape. Sidi is an intelligent fool because she believes that she can manipulate her circumstances without thinking of possible consequences.
