Percy asks about the Underworld because he might want to go there? Why?

In my opinion, Percy's question is completely innocent and a result of curiosity. After learning that the gods and Olympus are real.... Percy's next question directly relates to the dreaded Underworld. He asks because he's fascinated, possibly even awestruck.
