Why did Amir want to spill his father's blood from his body?

Amir is mortified when Baba dismisses his story and tells him to give the story to Rahim Khan. Amir is so angry at his father's rebuke that he wants to drain his father's blood from his body. Amir feels that nothing he does will ever impress Baba.
