Rahim Kahn is the moral centre to this book. He quietly observes things and simply provides wisdom at the right times and in the right way. Rahim is aware of Amir's inner turmoil. In chapter one, he gently tells Amir that, "There is a way to be good again." He knew that Amir needed to redeem himself and he helps him find a way.
