In my opinion, Hassan is the more emotionally mature. He puts friendship and love before all else, sets aside differences, and doesn't even defend himself whem Amir unjustly accuses him of something he didn't do. Hassan is an observer.... he sees the world around him. Amir inly sees what he wants and acts accordingly.
