Baba, Amir and Hassan are family..... biologically and logistically. Although Amir and Hassan are unaware of their blood ties, they are playmates..... like brothers. Unfortunately, Amir's jealousy of Hassan (Baba loves him without any explanations) drives a wedge between the boys, and eventually leads to Hassan's banishment.
