The Kite Runner

How has the story come full circle? How has Hosseini created “a way to be good again” for Amir?

If we look at Amir's jeaousy of Hassan and his inaction during Hassan's rape, we see a young, jealous, spoiled young man who thinks of little else but himself and the way he feels. The attack on Hassan occurred after the kite running. Over the course of the novel, Amir returns to his homeland, saves his nephew from the same man who attacked his father, and brings Sohrab into his home. The kite running at the end of the novel brings us back to the time when he was a boy.... in saving Sohrab, loving him, and making the decision to raise him, Amir has found a "way to be good again."
