Of course Amir deserves to be happy. He is a descent and kind man shaped by a very troubled history. His betrayal of Hassan, as a child, is understandable.He was a child at the time and Assef was a sociopath. Anyone, let a lone a child, would fear him. The fact that Soraya can't have children has nothing to do with anybody's sins.
