At the end of chp. what is not-so-redeeming about Amir?

Amir wrote a story that Babba refused to read. Rahim-Kahn loved the story and complemented Amir for his use of irony. For a moment Amir wished that Rahim Khan was his father instead of Baba. He was so overcome with guilt that he vomited.
