Immigrants came to America in droves in the hopes of a better life and new opportunities. They came to America to fulfill their dreams. What most immigrants found upon their arrival was a shortage of jobs, often harder lives, crowded conditions, squalor, and poverty. The immigrants found out that life was no better in America, and often worse than what they'd already experienced.
