TC, 4.  How would you compare Granny's experience of death with her jilting by George 60 years before?

Yes I would. Before granny dies, she longs to see Hapsy. She prays for a sign from God, but receives none. Granny feels jilted once again, perhaps more than anytime before. I think the blowing out of the candle is one of resignation.
