The Infinite Sea Study Guide

The Infinite Sea is the second book in a published trilogy by Rick Yancey. The first book, The 5th Wave was turned into a movie, starring Chloe Grace Moretz, but it was not well-received. The following sequel is called The Lost Star. The Infinite Sea was well received by book critics, who praised it for bridging the gap between young adult fiction and adult fiction and continuing the series well. The book is written in keeping with the recent trend of young adult, dystopian novels. It centers on a girl who is surrounded by aliens, and it has been said that it "should do for aliens what Twilight did for vampires" (USA Today). Sadly, as already mentioned, the movie was not a hit and sequel movies are unlikely.
