The Importance of Being Earnest

Why Algernon writes something on his newspaper?

Worthing is the guardian of Cecily, so, both live together in the country.

When Mr Worthing speaks about his ward, in return of his cigarette case, Algernon is interested in Cecily. But Worthing doesn't allow to Algy to get contact with her. That is why Worthing doesn't say to Algernon his direction in the country. But his intelligent friend wants to visit Cecily, that is why, while Jack is telling his direction to Gwendolen, Algy writes down Worthing's direction on the newpaper, with the intention of meeting with her. True?
