The Importance of Being Earnest First Act

Jack uses two additional lies to get out of his lie. First, he tells cecily that he is sending Ernest out of the country to Australia. Later, in the same scene, he says that his brother has died, and that he is dressed and ready to go to the city for his brother's funeral.
