In what way are cecily and gwendolen different?

I think much of the point of having these two characters is their similarities. Still, there are a few differences to consider. Gwendolen is at home in big cities like London where as Cecily is a more sheltered girl who is comfortable in gardens and more natural settings. Cecily seems less sophisticated than Gwendolen.
