In Chapter 8, how does Katniss first meet Peeta?

In Chapter Two, we learn that Katniss first met Peeta after her father's death when he gave her bread. It was burnt..... but it was needed. Peeta's act was one of kindness. I'm not sure what you're referring to about them meeting in Chapter Eight.
