Celia says, "you must stay hidden in the nest like a good little mouse, there are hawks out there that eat little mice", : she is referring to Matt being a mouse in a cottage and the hawk is hunting for him outside the cottage. El Patron is also referred to as a cat with nine lives which works with the metaphor od Matt as a mouse.
