The only difference I could find for you in the week they vacationed together with their parents was that Peter had developed red eyes and that was how his mother came to determine that she believed he was dying. (Page 134)

He also had spent time at Kitum Cave, which is somewhere Charles Monet had also visited. This was something they had in common.
