The Hobbit

why should Bilbo embrace and know more about his Took side of the family?

I have to write an essay on whether or not Bilbo should go on the adventure. I have chosen to argue that Bilbo should go on the adventure and one of my Arguing points is that Bilbo should go on the adventure because he will embrace his Took side of the family.

You could go with this. Certainly Belladonna Took, Bilbo's mother, had gone on adventures before she married Bilbo's father. She liked wealth and was a cautious Hobbit. After she married Bilbo's father, she never went on any adventures. You might argue that Bilbo has more of his mother's side in him than he did his father's. Bilbo just needed to accept his call to adventure to realize this.
