The Hobbit

What two items does Bilbo forget in his rush to meet the dwarves at the Green Dragon Inn? What do you think forgetting these items tells the reader about Bilbo's willingness to go on this adventure?

Bilbo forgets his hat, his handkerchief, his walking stick and money in his rush to meet the dwarves. Forgetting these items illustrates his great apprehensions about joining the dwarves on their journey.
