What does Bilbo mean when he says, "The Tookish part was getting very tired, and the Baggins was daily getting stronger"? How had Bilbo changed in the novel?

The "tookish" part of Bilbo's character was the adventurer, thus, we would infer that the adventurer is anxious to hunker down at home, something that embodies a Baggins. Baggins are homebodies.
