Daughter is 11, doing bookfair on The Hobbit, need what is the main problem in the story.
I know, there are several, but what would any of you say was the main problem?

The main problem in the story is gaining access to the Smaug's lair, and, in turn, stealing the treasure. Bilbo Baggins has been recruited by Gandalf to complete this quest.
