What year does chapter 13 take place?

I have been looking and looking and I can't find out what year chapter 13 takes place in. My teacher tells me that on page 203, it says that it was November 1, but I don't know what year it is. So I searched up on google important dates on November 1st, but there aren't any around Corrie's time.

I don't recall a specific date being given. After two more days on train, suffering from thirst and nausea, the prisoners arrive at a small town in Germany. Women pour out of the train, rushing to the lake to get water. Only a handful of young guards watch over one thousand women, but the prisoners are too weak to resist.
