The Great Gatsby

What does Daisy Long to recapture?

I understand that she has a longing to understand and re-apply her love towards Gatsby, but she is so frail that she continues to be influenced by Tom.

Does she REALLY want that love back, or is she looking to create more havoc and destruction towards the idea of the "American Dream"?

I do not think that Daisy really want that love back. She likes Gatsby just because he is rich and he treats her batter than Tom. And Tom has an affair with Myrtle. All she needs is that money and comfortable life.
