Meyer Wolfsheim refuses to even show up to the funeral. It seems that nobody really gave a damn about Gatsby. Gatz ( Gatsby's father) shows Nick a book in which the young Gatsby kept a self-improvement schedule; nearly every minute of his day was meticulously planned. He had many misconceptions about his son thinking him far more innocent than he really was.
