The Great Gatsby

"The Great Gatsby does not proclaim the nobility of the humans spirit; it is not politically correct, it does not reveal how to solve the problems of life, it delivers no fashionable or comforting messages. It is just a masterpiece, do you agree?

Oh my yes I do agree. The novel speaks the corruption that money has on the human spirit and the delusion of the American dream. There is nothing redemptive about the characters in the book. Our protagonist, Nick, is pretty disillusioned by the end of the book. The beauty of the book lies in unveiling the truth about human nature and the American dream.
