The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby

So he made the most of his time.  He took what he could get, revenously and unscrupulously eventually he took Daisy one still October night, took her because he had no real right to touch her hand.  What does this mean?

So many years ago when Gatsby first met Daisy he was really just a penniless young man, the product of poor Midwestern farmers. Gtasby's military uniform would hide his meager past long enough for him to drink Daisy in. He inhaled the every moment he had with her knowing full well, the invisible cloak of his uniform might slip from his shoulders. Gatsby knew he had no chance or right to pursue a girl of Daisy's social stature. Gatsby would need time to shed his previous identity and emerge as someone, he believed, worthy of her affections.
