how in some ways are nick and gatsby alike?
Both are from the West and don't share the pedigree of "old money". Both have women they "love" but are prevented from being with them. Both appreciate an idealism that is largely an illusion. The American dream, so to speak, runs through their imaginations but remains illusive because it is not real.
