Do you think Tom Buchanan has a positive or negative impact on myrtle wilson

Tom lures Myrtle away from her husband and into adultery. He misleads her, abuses her, and uses her.... In the end, her desire for Tom ends her life. She ran into the street believing he was coming back for her. I'd say that all in all.... it's a pretty negative impact.
