This part of the novel begins with Gatsby's nervousness in regards to his desire to make Nick happy so he will agree to arrange the meeting with Daisy. Once Nick agrees, he is ecstatic. When Gatsby and Daisy meet, it is extremely awkward at first and Gatsby is again on edge. After awhile, Nick returns to see them both glowing with happiness at the sight of Gatsby's "success."
