Daisy in chapter 1

Daisy likes to provoke things and then run and hide behind Tom. She is self-absorbed and seemingly incapable of seeing life outsider her little bubble of entitlement. Daisy enjoys flirting with Gatsby in this passive aggressive way which plays with Gatsby's psyche. Daisy seems to have no sense of obligation or loyalty to others including Tom. Daisy follows the money doing what is best for her.
