How does tom convince daisy to stay with him?

Ultimately Tom convinces Daisy that they have had love in the past and he has done things to convince her that she loves him or that she did love him enough to stay now. After she hits Myrtle, she ends up with Tom and has, over the dinner talbe, an air of intimacy.
