The Great Gatsby

Chapters 7-9

Baz Luhrman, the director changes the way Wilson finds out from Tom that Gatsby was "the driver" who killed Myrtle. Luhrman has Tom reveal the driver when Tom, Nick and Jordan stop to see what all the commotion is about outside of Wilson's garage on the night of Myrtle's death.

Which "version" of the plot do you prefer, Fitzgerald's or Luhrman's? Why?

As with any version of a novel depicted on film, I believe the author's plot always takes precedence..... it is Fitzgerald's story.
