Tom wanted to switch cars and drive Gatsby's coupe..... Gatsby doesn't like the idea but goes along with it. The shock comes when Tom tells Nick and Jordan to drive with Gatsby and Daisy takes their place.... leaving with Gatsby, while the others follow in Gatsby's car.
