Meyer Wolfsheim is described as a, "small, flat-nosed Jew raised his large head and regarded me with two fine growths of hair which luxuriated in either nostril. After a moment I discovered his tiny eyes in the half-darkness." I think this description lets us know that Meyer Wolfsheim is part of the underworld or involved with shady business dealings. He is connected to Gatsby, which gives us insight into how Gatsby might have gotten so wealthy.
