Even though it may seem that Wang Lung is the main character in Pearl S. Buck’s novel The Good Earth, it is his wife, O-lan, who gives the greatest meaning to this novel. O-lan, is a strong diligent woman whose only hope in her life was to please her husband and her children. Please check out this great character analysis of her below.
