Golden Age Chapter Question

Chapter 7, ‘The Trains’ begins with Ida’s story, and opens with the round-up of Jews by the Germans in Nazi occupied Budapest. It reveals the dangers they faced. Meyer, her husband is in a labour camp, Ida has taken a false identity and she has placed her three-year old son, Frank in the care of her old piano teacher Julia and Hedwiga. ‘Julia’s apartment was his own memory.’ (p45) How would you describe Frank’s experience in the care of these two heroic and kind women?
