In Scene Two, what does Laura say and do to reveal that she is "set apart" from the real world?

I thought it might be that she is crippled and has a fixation on her glass collection, but I am not 100% sure!

Laura can't handle business school.She cannot handle people in general. She throws up when she tries to go and ends up going to the art museum and the birdhouses at the Zoo.
