Do you think that Tom and Amanda are being fair to Laura? Are they doing something good?

In my opinion, no, they're not being fair. Tom wants to find a man for his sister..... so he can relieve himself of the responsibility. Amanda, on the other hand, wants to act like a girl and relive her own lost youth. They both have motives, but they are not working in Laura's best interests, they're working for their own.
