The Glass Castle

Jeannette is very matter-of-fact and often detached from the story she tells.... almost like she is writing about someone else's experience. I think that Jeannette had to separate herself from the story in order for it to make any sense. She does not wallow in self-pity..... and her writing speaks to her great strength of character.
