eannette’s mother insists that, no matter what, “life with your father was never boring.” What kind of man is Rex Walls? What were his strengths and weaknesses, his flaws and contradictions?

Rex was considered to be a lot of fun. He was sporadic, impetuous, and reckless. He did things that most fathers would consider dangerous. Unfortunately, he also found it impossible to hold a job, he drank too much, he cheated when he gambled, he left his children hungry and without proper shelter, and he even went so far as to steal from them. It was all about Rex.
